I am so proud of our choir and what it has become. Many people have forged friendships and enjoyed our rehearsals, performances, parties, breakfast clubs and outings. When a member is no longer able to attend due to health or other personal circumstances I feel it is crucial to maintain those friendships and opportunities as much as is possible. There are many of us who are able to and happy to offer help where it is needed for their friends. I know that many of you do support each other but I feel it's important to formally put something into place.
For this purpose I have created 'BroadBeat Friends'. Everyone is a member. I have asked one person from each group to be the 'Person of Contact' for that group because, due to time constraints and the general business of choir, I'm not always available during rehearsals to speak confidentially. This is the person you can go to if you are concerned about another member or even if it is for yourself. Your Person of Contact will then let me know. Please expect a phone call from me to chat about your situation and how we may help. Some of you don't know but my daytime job is a Counsellor, so please do not think you are burdening me, it's my job to listen to people. If I contact you because someone has mentioned your situation to me please do not be offended, it's because we care.
There is also a message facility on the contact page which will be sent directly to me, you can use this if you prefer rather than speak face-to-face with someone.
